Coll de la Gallina

Coll de la Gallina

SANT JULIÀ DE LÒRIA
With a drop of 1010m, about 12 km and an average drop of 8,3%, some points reaching 18-20%, the Coll de la Gallina has been the end of several editions of the Spanish Cycling tour.
Formerly it was part of the road to the Santuari de Canòlich, currently it can be accessed with an asphalt pavement from two slopes, the north through Bixessarri, and the south through Fontaneda. (Remember that the access from Fontaneda is a one-way uphill towards the Coll de la Gallina and you must go down through Canòlich, Bixessarri and Aixovall).
At the top, you can find a sculpture by the artist Philippe Lavaill, commissioned by the Sant Julià de Lòria Community in 2015. It is dedicated to the Catalan cyclist Joaquim “Purito” Rodríguez for his involvement with sport and the country.
To immortalize the moment and the spectacular views, you will also find a TURS that will allow you to take the perfect selfie.

Countless ways to enjoy your mountain vacation!

Maybe you've never heard of the Tamarros before, maybe you have. Whether you've heard of them or not, now you have the chance to discover them and give them a helping hand.

There is one very important thing you need to know about the Tamarros, which is that they protect the nature and the forests of Andorra.
